Mortgage refinancing

Question: if the dealership finds out you dont have adequate insurance… they will get some for you and tack it in to your monthly. and it wont be cheap, either! dont like it? too bad. i dont want to be bothered with it, and when i negotiated for this home loan, i wanted to know what the *total* monthly payment would be. not a lower monthy, followed by a surprise tax bill every 6 mos. oops! as for PMI? yeah, its a scam, but unless you have the 20%, you gotta pay. da rules is da rules. takes money to make money, etc. uh, yeah… no servicemen have ever acted in an undiciplined manner before. none have *ever*:

beaten their wives drank to excess ran up unpaid debts

Answer: True, so why aren’t banks requiring escrow for the insurance? And some states also impose a property tax on cars. I imagine in such state that if the tax isn’t paid, the govt. seizes the car. So you’re too lazy and/or undisciplined to set aside the money yourself. That’s your problem. And you likely won’t know if and by how much your insurance & taxes are being hiked year after year. Big Government (including the People’s Republic of Californicate) loves sheeple like you. If people suddenly had to pay their income taxes all at once, instead of having it withheld from their paychecks a bit at a time, Rome-on-the-Potomac would be burned to the ground within a month. And FYI, you can get out of PMI once the remaining principal falls to <80% of the home’s market value. We pay *no* PMI as the refi amount met that criterion. Since real estate prices are still zooming upwards over there, take advantage of that fact now — before the bubble bursts. Never said that, dolt. But taken *as a whole*, current & former military personnel do have more self-discipline. If you’re in the service and run up unpaid debts, not only do you face court-martial, your pay *will* be garnished to satisfy those debts. And military justice is far harsher on criminals than the civilian system (except for top officers, of course). Besides self-discipline, the military would have taught you one other valuable skill — how to use the shift key.
